Server Position Summary:
Assist residents and guests in their independent rooms and/or dining rooms with menu selection. Serve and busses tables according to established guidelines
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The following duties are normal for this position. This list is not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
- Utilize proper food handling and food service techniques.
- Take meal/drink orders and serve meals in a friendly and timely manner.
- Assure resident/guest is satisfied with their dining experience.
- Maintain all side stations and dining areas using the clean as you go policy.
- Assist with the topping up of breakfast items in pantries at ward levels
- Serve tea/coffee as deemed necessary either in dining area or at ward levels
- Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
- Assist with orientation and training of new team members if and when necessary
- Practice all safety and loss prevention procedures.
- Set-up and clean the Dining Room while maintaining or exceeding hospitality and service standards.
- Maintain or exceed standards of appearance, cleanliness, personal sanitation, and hygiene.
- Attend all in-services as required.
- Support a resident culture of successful aging
Candidates with excellent communication skills and good command of English and/or Maltese Language will be given preference.
Prior experience server, servers, waiter, waiters, wait staff, runner, restaurant crew member, restaurant team member, customer service or other hospitality industry jobs is highly desirable.
