Responsibilities / Duties

The candidate will be responsible for performing multiple repair and maintenance tasks, which could include, but are not limited to, electrical, plumbing, painting, tiling, plastering, carpentry work and general facility repairs:
• Conduct routine inspections and perform corrective maintenance works in resident rooms, plant room, building services & installations and property site in general as required.
• Perform preventive scheduled maintenance on equipment & installation and keep a log of works and gathered data, giving priority to tasks.
• Respond to maintenance request by other departments.
• Perform a variety of repair and maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, plumbing etc.
• Monitor and attend to ELV systems such as Fire Alarms, CCTV, TV’s and Sound Systems, Parking Management Systems.
• Attending to emergency breakdowns and any assigned tasks diligently.
• Maintain a log of interventions, maintenance works carried out, pending works, and ensure that these are followed according to priority.
• Monitoring inventory levels and highlight the need of ordering any spare parts.
• Provide technical know-how and experience in the design and development of installations, operations, maintenance procedures and improvements of facilities, services/systems, and equipment.
• Ability to interpret readings from meters & gauges and other measuring units, testing equipment, measuring devices, and safety manuals.
• Complying with the respective safety rules and regulations.
• To act in technical capacity and protect residents, visitors and employees and preserve the facility and its systems in case of any emergencies.
• Performing any other duties assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
o Undertake duties as assigned.
o Assist in other departments when required.
o Assist sub-contractors as required.
o Reporting/ discussing any issues to the Maintenance Manager.
Skills & Requirements
• Knowledge of general maintenance.
• Knowledge of using basic power tools.
• Possess fault finding and problem-solving skills.
• Capable to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
• Being able to prioritise jobs.
• Excellent time management
• Attention to detail.
• Control of water quality
• Be a team player and possess good communication skills.
• Able to work on own initiative.
• Be methodical and efficient in handling multi-tasking duties.
• Possess strong written and spoken communication skills in English Language
• Willing to work on shift basis (No night shifts)
Requirements
• BTEC or HTD MQF Level 4 Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or other internationally recognized qualification.
• Must hold at least an Electrical License A.
• Basic computer skills.
• Possession of the following will be considered an asset:
Electrical License B.
Previous experience of a similar role in the care or hospitality industry.
Basic understanding of refrigeration and HVAC.
Previous experience in the care or hospitality industry.
