Our target is to take our residents out twice weekly, which outings include also schedule of transport to ensure accommodation of our residents’ mobility needs. Feedback from residents, essentially guides our events co-ordinator to choose the desired location. Experience has shown that most of our residents, love visiting old Maltese villages like Marsaxlokk, Rabat, Dingli, Marsascala, San Pawl il-Bahar etc… For this reason, scheduled outings for a morning coffee/tea and toast are organised in Winter and Autumn, whereas outings by the seaside, preferably late afternoon, are scheduled and organised in Summer to avoid the heat.
Other outings which have been organised and were very well received by many of our residents included:
- Animal Park at Salina
- Aquarium in Qawra
- Kitchen Garden at San Anton Gardens
- Mdina Tour and Tea/Coffee and Fontanella Gardens
- Village Festas – Gharghur & Naxxar
- Visit to the President’s Verdala Palace
